A code does not always identify the failed part
A code may show that a sensor detected an out-of-range condition; it does not automatically prove the sensor caused it. The source may be wiring, pressure, temperature, regeneration, the DPF, or another component. Record codes and operating conditions before choosing a repair.
Information that helps us review your case
Share the truck make, model, year, engine, approximate mileage, a dashboard photo, visible codes, and when the issue started. Mention power loss, unusual regenerations, smoke, or increased fuel use. If repairs were already attempted, tell us what was done.

Do not clear codes merely to turn off the light before an OBD test. CARB explains that the vehicle may become “Not Ready” after codes are cleared and that a failed test calls for repair and retesting. Identify the cause and verify the repair first.
